Removing the requirement for legible postmarks endangers the integrity of mailed ballots.  Without those, there is no way to tell when the ballots came in and from where.  It is too easy for a party operative to insert bogus ballots.

I also object to the Board of Elections changing the rules this close to an election.  If the rules need to be changed, it should not happen in the middle of the voting.  We've already started the process for this year.  This makes it appear that someone is trying to put a thumb on the scale.
