It's already unnecessary to extend the ballot receipt deadline past election day. Everyone knows when the election day is and has the option well in advance to vote whenever and in what manner they choose. There is no need to extend the deadline further, but if you must, then at least require a valid postmark. If necessary for coming to a decision, hold a public hearing.
