This is pretty mild compared to Syracuse Developmental Center. A couple months ago Staff at the Hamilton IRA in Onondaga county NY literally let a disabled individual die from pneumonia as a result of neglect.a few years prior the same disabled individual tried to report staff abuse but quack psychologist Gary Bartoszek covered it up and then framed the advocate who was speaking up for the abused individual. Yep this is fact. It took a few years but Syracuse Developmental Center via Hamilton staff did kill the disabled individual who dare speak about the abusive house staff. They simply let her die of pneumonia at age 46.Reporting these things is useless as even the HR office will cover it up or spin the situation to go after political enemies. Yep that's the state OPWDD for you.Call 315 689 9879 and be sure to congratulate Hamilton IRA staff Stew Vernooy, Val Clark and Kristina Moyer for a job well done for Murdering the developmentaly disabled individual who dare to report their own staff abuse a few years prior. Then congratulate grade 17 Barb hynes and amber for covering the paper trail for these murderers
Sure this case isn't in Virginia and is from a few years back but things still go on like this every day. Just look at the investigation and licensure reports at the DBHDS
Please DMAS stand up against EVV so more people don't end up in abusive placements.
