We use Therap for EHR and although they allow us to collect the EVV info needed for billing, they do not have the technology to submit the billing to DMAS / VA Medicaid.  Our clearinghouse (Gateway) is completely clueless regarding EVV. I called VA Medicaid and although the lady was pleasant, she was unable to direct me to a list of clearinghouses that are competent in EVV.  So, I am very frustrated that the Medicaid Memo. Providers like us not afford to continue supports if Personal Assistance claims get denied, leaving many individuals across Virginia without services.  I strongly suggest we push back the deadline for the trial period to avoid disrupting services. Or do away with EVV it is going to cause most agency directed care to stop. It costs to much.
