From Jake Metcalf's When Verification is also Surveillance:
"How eager are you to teach a corporate system where you spend your days, and then explain why you did something different yesterday? Of course, many of us do so through voluntary services such as Google, but hose services are not obligatory passage points for actualizing our civil rights. What if that web form only showed two slots to enter service locations - as the system designed by Tempus for Massachusetts Medicaid does - implying you only go two places regularly in your life? Would you choose not to go to the art museum or the temple because you didn't want to tell a corporate entity about it? Could you live as an exception event?"
