Immunizations for unaccompanied minors

The regulation currently allows conditional enrollment for students while they are obtaining needed immunizations and requires the school system to monitor the student to ensure ultimate compliance unless exempt. Unfortunately for students enrolling without a guardian or someone acting in loco parentis, they have no means of securing required vacinations since Virginia law does not allow minors to consent for immunizations on their own nor are they part of the exempted category.
