What are you thinking!?

Over the past decade veterinary medicine has been boasting how they are excelling in medicine. This is a clear indication you aren't. How dare you use a paying client's pet for training on a non credentialed assistant. How severely lacking in self respect for your industry and the people who work in it to help make you successful and care for pets. How dare the non credentialed assistants boast they can run circles around a credentialed tech. Experience makes you hone in on a skill, but can you prove the science behind it? Most likely not. What's next? Venous cut downs? Administering anesthesia? Why don't you keep stepping backwards in time as you boast about the future and complain about compassion fatigue? It happens because you FAIL yourself and your technicians by not utilizing the right people. If you are so adiment about using street strays for a tech, at least send them to school so you aren't constantly lying to your clients about the high quality care you provide, because you aren't.  The public supporters of this petition clearly have no clue what happens behind closed doors of a practice. Shame on the Commonwealth of VA for even entertaining this petition and failing the veterinary industry.
