I'm sure they're plenty of unlicensed people who could perform this task correctly, however without regulation on who can and can't, it opens the door for people who are severely unqualified to do this task. Just because a case was never brought before the board in a certain amount of time doesn't mean it can't happen. I would feel horrible explaining to at family that an unlicensed person was doing a task that should be regulated to licensed professionals only and that the training and supervision they had wasn't enough, however you thought they were qualified. I guess I'm just a sucker for good old fashion education and regulation. Recruit the educated by respecting their credentials and gain access to the proper professionals by investing in the education of assistants to becomes licensed. Everyone on here with a license went to school, passed the exams and is qualified to do what they do. Maybe that's why there's never a case before the board.
