I strongly oppose this regulation

This regulation will have absolutely no impact whatsoever on the actions of criminals, and therefore provides no benefit to safety. It is a regulation proposed for the political sake of having a regulation.

On the other hand, this risks turning honest, law-abiding citizens into criminals.

Finally, and perhaps most importantly, this proposed regulation paradoxically endangers lives. Stolen firearms are primary source of firearms used by criminals. By forcing law abiding citizens to leave a firearm in a vehicle while they enter such a facility, an opportunity for criminals to steal the firearm would be created as a direct result of the proposed regulation when none previously existed.
