Ban on concealed carry in executive branch offices

I strongly oppose this ban.  I understand state employees are vulnerable, but instead of denying citizens their rights under the second amendment, maybe it would be a better idea to allow state employees the right to carry a weapon while working. I know workers from DSS who walk into dangerous situations every day but aren't even allowed to carry OC spray. Please, can we exercise some common sense? Gun violence. What is gun violence? People are violent. A gun is a hunk of metal that is incapable of executing violence unless in the hands of a violent person. Let law abiding citizens defend themselves and impose harsher penalties on those who commit violence with a firearm.
