I oppose any regulation that would hinder our right to bear arms in ANY building let alone buildings that have had no serious threat in the past.

I would like present to you a place where guns ARE prohibited, the Virginia Polytechnic Institute. Look what happened when Seung-Hui brought a gun into this facility anyway and no one was able to stop him from killing defensless students who were mercilessly banned from legally carrying any from of effective weapon EVEN PEPPER SPRAY! It is because of this heartless dissarmament of Virginia Tech students and faculty that we lost Holocost survivor, Liviu Librescu. A man who survived SO much in his life time only to be killed because somebody was playing "make believe" and thought that if he banned guns then gun violence would go away. WE COULD HAVE KEPT HIM, AND MANY OTHERS, SAFE if we had been allowed to carry on Virginia Tech's Campus!

Stop fooling yourselves into thinking that if you tighten the noose on the free people of America who are playing by the rules (rules that are uncostitutional in the first place) that you will keep them safe.

Think about how silly that sounds! "Restricting the freedom of law abiding citizens to keep them safe." That's like tying up the hands and feet of people before you push them into a body of water so that they don't hurt each other with possible flailing about.

I thank you for the opportunity to speak my mind on this matter and to speak out against a governor of a State who behaves more like a tyrant than a servant of the people. How else would you explain someone who vetoes the General Assembly when his power to do what he wants without accountability is threatened?
