I don't see why I have to put my life at risk.  Someone intent on murdering others will not think, Oh Bummer, I can't bring a gun in here, so I'll just pop over to McDonalds and shoot up a bunch of people there.  If passing laws like this work, then why don't we just pass a bill making it illegal to murder people? That should be enough to stop a criminal, right?
