I strongly oppose this

This is a feel good regulation. It makes one feel good that something is being done to combat violent actions with guns but is deceptive for a number of reasons.

1. It seeks to solve a problem that doesn't exist - no violent actions with guns have taken place in the executive buildings.

2. The Concealed Handgun Permit purpose is to allow law abiding citizens to exercise their right to self protection while seeking to assure the government and law enforcement that folks carrying concealed weapons (with a CHP) are in face good, law abiding citizens. What have these citizens done to warrant this right from being stripped away from them? What are they being punished for?

3. More violent crimes and acts of terror have occurred in "gun free zones" than ANYWHERE else in this country. Making these buildings, the people's buildings, gun free makes them MORE dangerous and a bigger target for terrorists than they currently are.

Thanks for listening

Bill Rearick
