Strongly oppose gun ban in state buildings

Criminals by definition do not obey laws, only law-abiding citizens do.  The only thing Governor McAuliffe's gun ban in state buildings does is disarm the victims of violent criminals and terrorists.  This ban, like others, will get more people killed in the event that a violent crime takes place in or near a state building.  The proposed permanent ban on lawful guns will have zero impact on the illegal guns.  CCW permit holders undergo background checks and training, something that criminals do not, and permit holders have shown themselves to among the most law abiding citizens; clearly they are not the problem.  The governor's ban not only infringes on the rights of citizens by placing their lives in danger, but it also aids and abets the criminals in committing thier crimes.  I strongly oppose this bill.
