I oppose the proposed ban on the carrying of firearms in state agency buildings

I oppose this regulation.  I am a retired Law Enforcement officer with over 40 years of experience.  I have undergraduate degrees in Criminology and Sociology.   I have taught Criminal Justice classes at the college level and trained Federal Law enforcement officers for many years.  In my professional opinion, which is supported by crime statistics, prohibiting citizens with concealed weapons permits from state facilities is counterproductive.  It solves nothing and restricts our citizen allies in our joint fight against criminals.  These licensed citizens are the most law abiding demographic in society, even better than police officers! This proposed ban makes the restricted building more vulnerable and insecure.
