Abortion center regulations are essential for the health and safety of Virginia women and must be maintained, not weakened. We owe our women at least the same level of health and safety standards we provide for our veterinery clinics.
The recent suspension of abortions at a Fairfax facility due to 26 health and safety violations proves the regulations work, and must be preserved as is, not watered down. The abortion industry has fought regulation for years. Yet independent inspectors repeatedly find serious deficiencies at these centers, even during announced inspections. Clearly these centers cannot self-regulate. Abortion is not healthcare because it ends lives instead of healing them. However, since abortion operates under the guise of healthcare, abortion centers must adhere to the regulatory standards of other healthcare facilities. Simply, Virginia women deserve nothing less.”
