I OPPOSE the CACREP only rule.
The regulations of our professional licensing should be a matter of the state not of an accrediting body. This rule leaves out professionals that are well prepared to serve our community despite having graduated or will be graduating from non CACREP accredited programs. It limits the ability for LPCs moving into the state as well as military spouses to be licensed. It greatly affects in negative way our community and the services that can be provided. As someone that has been involved in supervising licensure candidates I can attest that candidates that have graduated from non CACREP accredited programs are well equipped to be licensed and serve our community clients needs.
