Less than 100 of the 150 DENTISTS support this. There has not been a SINGLE hygienist who has been in agreement and with over 1000 posts... And we have a short supply of Hygienists?? I counted more than 70 RDH students too! I think we can clearly see here what the Dentists in support of this are after and highly doubt that the cost will trickle down to the patient....

When you consider the fact that a dentist will charge over $150 for a cleaning that they only allow 45 minutes for and then consider they are paying their hygienists under $50/hour, aren't they making enough money??? This has nothing to do with the economy when you consider it's insurance that pays for people's cleanings also....

The military has to offer substandard care because it's the military! People aren't putting upwards of $60.00 towards their insurance every pay period so get the same care that military enlistee's get for free... That's ludicrous! And are we seriously going to compare our healthcare to Indian healthcare?? There's a reason their doctors are required to go thru American Medical School in order to practice here...

The true solution (if we really truly think this is a problem... which I don't) is more hygiene schools if anything!

Perhaps Dentists should pay out of their own pocket for an assistant to attend hygiene school if they're so hard up!

And I wanted to commend the following Dentists for standing next to quality care, I'm sure any hygienists working for you are lucky to be under such upstanding business people.
