I ask the agency to take a very close look at this issue and also the source of the comments you have received in this public forum. 

The question should not be whether you are a dental hygienist or a dental assistant.  The question should be whether the dental professional has proven competency through education and credentialing and what is best for the citizens of the Commonwealth.

I hope all positions wtihin the dental team in Virginia can come together without berating other team members and do what is right.
