Dear Board Members:

This is a addition to my original comment in favor of the establishment of a Dental Assistant II licence. Having read many of the negative responses in this forum, there appears to be a common misconception in most of them. These responses do not seem to acknowledge the fact that the Dental Assistant II will not, and must not, be someone with just on the job training as are most dental assistants. As you know these persons must be trained and certified according to a set of requirements to be determined by the board.
