If the board allows DAII scaling, Dentist and our Dental Board in Va will have lowered the standard of care to their patients not cost! But, in turn the insurance companies will definately think cost, and will lower benefit payment.  If Dentist want to help their patients, than keep the existing standard of care. If the dentist want to help those in need, volunteer at your local clinics. Undermining the standard of care will only hurt you and your patients.
