I DO NOT support the decision to allow dental assistants to do scaling. As a dental hygiene student, I believe there should be further education needed for this job. We put a lot of hard work and dedication into being an RDH. It is not right for our jobs to just be given to others who have less education in the field. NO to dental assistant scaling!!
