NO to Dental Assistant II

I have been geeting my teeth cleaned by a dentaly hygienist  for past many years.  I am aware of their vigorous  training and I am very satisfy by their deligent work. Their work reflect their in depth training.  Dental hygienist does not provide only scaling and oral hygiene training to the patients,  but they are also responsible to screen any significant  periodontal diseases and oral cancer.  As a patient I will nsist to get my oral hygiene care by dental hygienist.  So, if  I am developing any problem, I can get advantage of early detection due to their extensive education and knowledge.  I will not be comfortable having DAII doing my oral hygiene care, where I do not get  full benefits of dental hygiene trained professional.  As a physician and  as a consumer I insists that current structure of requiring dental hygienist to do scaling and oral hygiene care should be kept as it is.
