Seeing as how much work and effort we as dental hygiene students put into learning how to do this (squishing everything into 2 years)  in order to be competent--not even proficient yet; that comes later in our career--in dental hygiene school, I really oppose the DA II proposal. Dental hygienists place too much pride in their work only to have it undermined by this.
