I oppose the DAII being able to scale teeth.

   Creating expanded duties of dental assistant will not improve access to dental care. There are shortage of many kinds of health care providers. I appreciate that dental community tries to solve this problem, however, lowering the quality of care is not the answer. The assistant and the hygienist are totally different roles. As a dental hygienist, I provide more than calculus removal for my patients.  I believe this proposal would be jeapardiziging the health of our patients.
