The DA II proposal is the most ridiculous idea I've ever heard of. As a Dental Hygiene student, I have worked extremely hard in this program, and it is insulting to me if this proposal is passed. DDS's that are voting for it, are the one's that are too cheap to hire an REGISTERED DENTAL HYGIENIST. You know, the one's that's actually trained on how to efficiently treat and educate patients!?! What kind of training do you think a DA II will get? Not two years worth, I can tell you that much!  So tell me, would you really want them working subgingivally? They don't know what the heck they are doing, and this is all because the DDS doesn't want to pay an RDH to do the job right! This is preposterous!!
