As a student in dental hygiene, I am shocked to here about this proposal.  In my hygiene career, I have undergone some tuff and time consuming work.  The hundreds of hours of lecture, studying and clincial applications is done for what reason if this is approved!!!!!!   I have went through school in Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene.  Trust me, Dental Hygiene is nothing compared to Dental Assisting and most Dental Assistants have not even gone through a program!!!!  So, am I going though all of the school work for nothing?!?!?!?  These DA 2's are hygiensts without knowledge!  How do you think the patients are going to react to DA 2's when they find out that they are not knowledgable about their teeth?????

Risky dental health is not worth saving a buck.......
