I oppose ANY and ALL scaling duties for the NEWLY created dental assistant II. It takes many years of hard training and education to practice hygiene on a patient. A assistant would never have the training and the education to scale patients.Hygiene is much more complex the just a polish or a scale, and total patient care must be applied to every patient.
