I am not at all comfortable with an unlicensed person digging around in my mouth below the gum line!!!!! What are you guys thinking?????  That would seem to be the equivalent of a candy-striper, or volunteer, doing sinor surgery or sutures!!!!!! 

    There are standards to minimal care for the prevention of "accidents".  Set standards of minimal schooling to perform SAFE CARE.  Do you want to have an 'accident' occur in your mouth that results in your getting nerve damage, blood loss(pretty substantial) or an infection that may occur along with the aforementioned accindental incidence because your dental hyginist didn't have the proper training. 

    I suppose that dentures, due to tooth lose, is one way to have the perfect smile ---- not for me, I like the ones God made without any "accidents"!!!!!!  Have a nice day.
