Please include any procedure that is reversible and does not involve the cutting of hard or soft tissue in the duties of a DA II.  The DA II should be under the direct supervision of a dentist and must be properly trained and certified for any procedure to be performed.  Such procedures may include but not be limited to:  the placing and finishing of restorative materials in a tooth prepared by the dentist, the scaling and polishing of teeth in patients with Type 1 Periodontal Disease (Gingivitis),and the taking of final impressions for fixed and removable restorations in a mouth prepared by the dentist.
