Dental assistant - absolutely not!

I am a registered dental hygienist in the state of Virginia. I EARNED this title, with a tremendous amount of hours studying issues such as laws, regulations and specific techniques in the classroom and clinical setting. This entitled a large amount of stress meeting the standards of professionalism in which each and every patient deserves. I say absolutely not to any dental assistant who tries to do the job of a hygienist. Every patient should be treated with the correct scientific education and practical knowledge of a person who earned the right to have a license, and this person should be a hygienist.
Sincerely concerned,
Angel V. Wright R.D.H.
