I oppose the passage of this legislation to allow Dental Assiatants to scale.  While Dental Assistants are a vital part of the Dental team most are trained in office and have no type of college degree relating to dentistry.  Dental Hygienists on the other hand are college educated and licensed by the state. Practicing without a current license is a punishable offense and we all are mandated by the state to keep our license current with many hours of continuing education on a yearly basis. Please do not degrade the profession of Dental Hygiene and decrease the level of  patient care by allowing this to pass.
