Why should a Perio 1 patient recieve less care than any other patient?  Where is the real need for this duty to be taken on by an assistant? DA  II position should be designed to help smoothly move a Dentist through his/her work day.   Hygienists are trained to look for eary signs of oral cancer,  nutirtion and mediation factors as well as other conditions.  We are the first line in early detection of adverse oral and systemic health changes in patients.   We are educated ,well trained to scale all patients and concerned for their best health.
