I have been a Dental Hygienist for 25 years .  The college education I received  helped to prepare me for the patient care I would and continue to provide. I know for a fact that I could not have learned everything that I needed to know about dental hygiene and patient care in any less than two years.  Please do not put the public in danger of receiving inadequate care from someone who has not received enough education and training.  All members of the dental team  can be effective if they practice within the constraints of their education and abilities.
