I have great concern over patients being treated by someone who has minimal training in scaling and performing oral cancer screenings. Will the patients be informed that a dental assistant will be performing their cleaning?  Since they are a class I perio patient will the fee be reduced for their cleaning?  I feel sure the answer to the last question will be no.  I don't understand why our profession and the welfare of the general public has to be jeopardized.
