I am strongly opposed to the proposed change to 18VAC150-20-130. It does not serve the interest of our pets and their humans. There is no requirement in the change that ensures proper supervision of veterinary students in the care of our animals. Vet students need to complete the classroom phase of their education before they begin handling our pets. I would sooner take my pets to D.C. or Maryland than to entrust their care to inexperienced students in Virginia. Please reject the proposed change to 18VAC150-20-30.
