I vehemently oppose allowing inexperienced students to administer care to animals, regardless of the presence or supervision of a licensed veteriarian. Costs for animal care are high enough without running the risk of having a diagnosis or treatment bungled. Most people who seek medical intervention for their animals care very much about their animals' wellbeing and deserve to have this care provided by someone with education, experience, and skill.
