Only veterinary students in their fourth year should be allowed to perform medical procedures, and only then under the supervision of an experienced vet.

Pet owners should always be made aware that a student will be assisting in the care of their animal. 

Our animals deserve good, quality care -- just like we expect from our doctors - and they are not there to be experimented upon.
