I understand the need for veterinary students to have hands on training. I was a student nurse years ago and had to learn from books, lectures AND working with patients.  But, I was closely supervised and I didn't do more than very rudimentary things until my junior and senior year. Please allow vet. students access to patients with supervision and after getting the consent of the animals' owners.
