I saw the amount of school and the struggles good friend of mine went through to become a hygenist and to think that someone that is an assistant would soon be cleaning my teeth scares me.  Teeth are so important and to receive substandard care by someone that hasn't had the proper training is just ludacris.  I say no to this law!  There is a reason we have hygenists and dental hygene schools, and becoming an "assistant" is NOT the reason!  Thank you.
