After reading many posts and submitting one myself, I am SICKEND BY ALL DDS'S THAT WOULD WANT THIS.  As a DOCTER YOU HAVE AN ETHICAL OBLIGATION TO YOUR PATIENT.  STOP FORGETTING THIS BECAUSE THE ECONOMY IS IN BAD SHAPE.  It simply comes down to a financial issue, and not a standard of care issue and that is simply disgusting.  As a pateint would you be satisfied with a "trained" DAII cleaning your teeth or your mother's teeth?  No you would not, but for someone that you do not know and obvioulsy do NOT care about YOU CAN RATIONALIZE a DAII having this expanded function.  This is AWFUL and a sign of a deteriorating society.  DO NOT PASS THIS BILL.  I was an exceptional assistant and very well trained and paid, but even I understand the limitations behind a lack of actual education and clinical competantcy, UNFORTUNATLEY,  for no reason other than money, many of our collegues have forgotten this.  DO NOT PASS THIS BILL.
