I strongly oppose the duty of scaling being delegated to the DA 2. The quality of dental hygiene care that the residents of Virginia now enjoy will be negatively impacted by allowing professionals with less education and experience to perform this duty.  As a consumer of dental hygiene services, as a licensed dental hygienist and as a dental hygiene educator  I urge you not to allow the less than optimal care to be given to the residents of this state.
