where are all the dentists going? that's what we need to ask about this topic, there isnt a shortage of hygienists.  SAY NO TO DENTAL ASST II !!!!  Why is there only one dental school in virginia, when there are 7 dental hygiene schools as of now in Virginia???? That should tell you why people in virginia are being neglected, there arent enough dentists to go around to delegate duties to hygienists and assistants! There are 3 MEDICAL COLLEGES in virginia to produce MD'S what about dentists? not enough emphasis is being put on dental health.
