This is not an issue of CACREP vs. non-CACREP programs.  This is an issue of Counseling as a distinct profession and Psychology as a distinct profession.  They both have very distinct characteristics and should not be forced into one entity.  The professionals in these fields are trained, certified, and licensed by diferent boards.
