I object.

First let me say that I have worked in ABC licensed establishments for approximately 18 years. I have seen the effects that unfair, overbroad and vague regulations can have on these establishments due to it being up to the individual agents views.

The regulations being proposed are the same regulations that were removed just last year by the 4th Circuit Court of the United States for being vague and over broad. The state legislature of Virgina also saw it that way and removed them. I don't see why the ABC board is trying to put them back unless the ABC board feels they know better than a US Circuit Court judge and our Virginia State Legislature or they are trying to force their own morality on the tax payers of Virginia. Thus taking away our right to be represented and governed by elected officials. The ABC board is not elected they are appointed.

The Virginia General Assembly when considering banning smoking in restaraunts decided it was an adults right to choose whether or not to go into an establishment that allowed smoking. That it should be left up to the business owner if they wanted to allow smoking in their business. And that adults should be allowed to decide what was best for them. So why is it that same adult person can’t choose whether or not to watch topless entertainers in an establishment licensed and zoned for adult use?

These regulations are old and out dated. The times have changed, and so should the regulations.
