What Oxford has helped my sister with

My name is Sheila and Oxford has helped my sister in so many ways. My sister lives in Richmond at Chimborazo. She has been in two houses and this house has really allowed her to be able to give back to others who are in recovery. She has gained so much accountability, respect and honesty in this process. She has been able to obtain and maintain jobs while living in Oxford, other son back home with her full-time after a long period away from him, and has got her license back as well. I know that without the Oxford house that she would not be where she is today. I am my sister’s biggest supporter in her recovery and I’m trying thankful for what Oxford has given my sister today. Oxford Houses are democratically self-governing and self-supporting under the Oxford House system of operations.I support rules that keep people safe, but rules that require staff or assume every home is a commercial business would keep Oxford Houses from operating in Virginia, even though research shows our model gets the best results. Please change those rules, and please clarify whether house members are considered the operator.
