Sober/Independent living houses plays a critical role in bridging the gap between structured treatment and independent living. These type houses give independents back. It allows the residents to work towards being a productive member of society again. Teaches them more responsibility and accountability for their lives. It gives them a purpose of stability. Closing these programs would remove a proven, supportive environment for people in early recovery, increasing risks of relapse and destabilizing lives. Please reconsider this decision and how many lives that will be effected.
