I’ve turned my life around because of Oxford House and the fact that is is a self governing, self supporting and self ran recovery residence. The skills I’ve acquired and respect I have  for myself and the other women in my house has been vital to my recovery. This house is my home. Please do not change the way we operate, as many lives are at stake and would be negatively affected. I support rules that keep people safe, but rules that require staff or assume every home is a commercial business would keep Oxford Houses from operating in Virginia, even though research shows our model gets the best results. Please change those rules, and please clarify whether house members are considered the operator.
