I have lived in Oxford House Harlow for almost three months and it has been the best recovery time of my life. We are self governing and have a strict contract for membership here. I cant IMAGINE THE STRESS OF LIVING ALONE OR WITHOUT THE SUPPORT SYSTEMS OXFORD OFFERS . We have requirements for meeting attendance and household positions for finances and a democratic format we run our weekly house meetings by.I have tried for years to get clean and stay clean but my biggest obstacle was housing. I have attended 2 Iops and gotten a job since moving in here May 30 2026. i am also starting college  Oct 26th to become an addiction counsellor. I would never have been able to stay clean out in the world homeless or in a using environment. Please help us keep Oxford Houses open in Virginia. We need this resource. The recovered addict helping newcomers get a start is a mainstay for recovery.
