$200 FOR EVERY SRP PT- RDH pay increase if now only doing SRP work. Higher and more intensive labor

Dental hygienist will be doing a lot more subgingival SRP But will not be properly compensated for the more intense and critical physical labor. The only ones who save money are the dentist, and if there is ever an increase of fees or insurances, all that cost won’t be paid out by Dentist. If hygienist are only doing SRP work they need to get paid a minimum $200/SRP session

The patient will have to pay for it, this is just another way for dentist to get more money. Also with the possibility of insurance. This does not help the economy nor the patient of Virginia.

Just because there’s money being saved from lowering the cost of a dental cleaning. Do you think the patient will actually receive a discount after this, the patient will receive no discount nor a decrease in their cleanings.

so now that the dental assistance are doing regular type prophylaxis cleanings. Will they get paid the fair wage of doing dental hygienist work at $70/hr? No.

The assistant will get paid $40 for a Supra-gingival scaling and the rest will get sent to the Doctor. And not including the doctor already gets paid to do an exam and gets paid X-rays. So he gets around $300 total after X-rays and a 10minute Exam?
